I have clearly been negligent...

Forgive me, loyal blog readers, for I have sinned...it has been about two months since my last blog post. I am ashamed, hahaha. But things have just been so wonderfully chaotic, lately, that I haven't had the time to post anything. But I had a day off, so here you go! :)

I have some early pictures from when we saw Baby Eli that I never posted. He's a million times bigger now, as you will see here in a bit. But here are some earlier pics.

Dewey had a great Christmas. He got new toys, some treats, and some cat grass, which he LOVED. We adore our little bundle of furry joy, and we loved spending our first Christmas together with him. We are such a happy family!

I never got around to posting about New Year's Eve, our first together. It was the last of our "first" holidays together, we've now seen them all! :) We didn't do much, just stayed home, ate dinner, watched TV...very chill and a lot of fun. Dewey even watched the ball drop, so cute!

We celebrated our one-year anniversary of our first date back in January, and I came home to flowers and a wonderful dinner. So sweet!!! He even went upstairs and brought down some of my dishes we have in storage, they're really pretty plates and are for special occasions because they can't be washed in the dishwasher, haha. So that was a nice surprise!

We got a visit from Jon this year, and we were so happy to have him in town! Dewey seemed to remember him: he passed up Andrew for Jon. It was so funny. If Jon stopped playing with Dewey, he would run over and get his attention, too cute.

We finally got to go on the trip to Kansas we've been trying to squeeze in, and we had so much fun!!!

A very good friend of mine, Paul, turned 21 in February. I first started babysitting for Paul when he was ten years old, and I was 15. He and his mother, Nela, are very much part of my family. I love them so much. So we went to Chili's (there is a new and not-so-improved menu there: not cool, Chili's!!) and Paul ordered a birthday cake shot with dessert. He liked it!

As promised, here are some pictures of Baby Eli, who is a wonderfully chunky monkey! Too precious!!!

Andrew and I went to the Irish Festival a few weekends ago, and we had a lot of fun! We ate fish and chips, walked around and people watched (and OOOOOOHHHHHH LORD were there some "interesting" people), and saw more Irish wolfhounds than I've ever seen in my whole life.

My baby is turning 10 months old next week. He weighs a whopping SIXTEEN POUNDS, and he is a big sweetie pie. He still plays rough with his daddy, and they are as thick as thieves. It's so cute to watch.

He is completely obsessed with laying on our clean laundry while we're trying to fold and hang it up. Too cute.

Here's a little video of him:

Andrew's coworker brought us an old cat stand that his cats don't use anymore, and we were so thankful. Dewey LOVES IT so much.

Whew! I had a lot of little posts to catch you all up on, haha! The only thing left to update on is WEDDING stuff. We booked our honeymoon, we're going to the Bahamas for five nights. We'll be staying at a Sandals resort, all-inclusive, and we cannot WAIT. And we got our honeymoon registry all set up through Paypal and it's on our wedding website, so that is all set and ready. We bought our wedding bands, I ordered my dress, we got our cakes picked out, our Save the Dates sent, our invitations are purchased (going out next month). We found THE BEST photographer, Evan Godwin. He is a 19-year old SMU student, and his work is just phenomenal. His prices are ridiculously cheap, too, so we are so blessed to have found him. You can check out his work at www.evangodwinphotography.com (please pass his name along if you know someone getting married in Texas: he travels all over the state, he's fabulous!). We have picked our venue, spoken with the priest and the deacon, and we're ready to talk to the music director and the church wedding coordinator. Our engagement shoot should be coming up in either April or May, so we are really looking forward to that. We have all of the stuff for our centerpieces, we've worked out a tentative menu for the reception. My dress should be in next month, and I have to remind my girls that they need to order their dresses before the end of July. Everything is going so smoothly, Andrew and I are having a blast getting everything planned out and organized.

We are going to Indy on April 16th, so we're super excited about that. It will be a much-needed break from work for both of us, and we get to see Jon, Wendy, his parents, Zach, Holly, and BABY AMELIA!!!!! We cannot WAIT to meet her, she is a precious little girl.

So that's it! That's what has been going on with us. We have made a point to take a lot of pictures, as you can tell, and I just need to get better at updating the blog more. Hope everyone is doing well!
