Downtime with Dewey

I love it when Andrew lays on the living room rug to play with Dewey...and Dewey loves it, too! Dewey has a thing about boxes: he thinks every box we have in the house is his, and we don't have the heart to throw half of them away. He has his Sam Adams beer box, his box from the post office, his Dole box that Andrew carved out a little entrance on the side, and now...the Vizio TV box. He is obsessed, he has a problem. Haha!

Dewey loves to play with Andrew AND his boxes, can't you tell by the look on his face in the next pic, haha!

We love our little Dewbert!!

Out With the Old, In With the New!

So my GM at work gave us his old armoire/entertainment cabinet-type thing since they were updating their furniture. There were many upsides to this: it's a beautiful piece (pics to come soon!), it looks fantastic in our living room between our two bookcases, and...we had to get a new TV! Andrew's was an old TV anyways, and we needed to go with the times and get a TV that didn't need three people to lift, haha. So while we went from a 46" to a 37", we also got a TV that was about two and a half feet thinner! Check it out:

Dewey had a final farewell with our old TV: he loved to drive us crazy by going up to it every night when we turned it off to stand on his hind legs and put his front paws on the screen. So we let him say goodbye to the TV.

We love having an LCD TV! We gave our old TV to a coworker of mine, so we were happy to keep up the cycle of giving! Thank you, Klint Guerry!

Million-Dollar Organ

Andrew and I met with Joel at the church today to hear the music options we have for the wedding. We got to go up into the choir loft where the new organ is...and it was UBER impressive.

Just to show you how massive this instrument is, here is a picture with Andrew standing next to it:

We picked some really great stuff: we decided on the processional piece that got me all teary. We had a great time listening to Joel show us what the pipe organ was capable of. Can't wait for you all to hear everything!

Gotta Love The Melting Pot!!!

Andrew and I got together with Robyn, Jordan, and Sara to celebrate Sara's birthday at The Melting Pot. We LOVE going out to eat there, and we all had a fabulous time!

There was lots of yummy food and drink (check out that Yin & Yang martini)!

Us girls love a chance to get together...

...and the boys clearly had fun, too, haha!

Thanks for having a birthday, Sara, hahaha! ;)

Hope you had a great time!!!
