I think that "they" say a lot of things that are kind of inaccurate (a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush? Not even really sure what that means). But when "they" say that your wedding day is "supposed to be the happiest day of your life"...dead accurate. Ours absolutely was! Oh my gosh, the days leading up to the wedding were hectic and fun, the day itself was surprisingly LESS hectic and MORE fun, and of course the honeymoon was great, like I already blogged. =)
The Thursday and Friday before the wedding were filled with family and wedding preparation. Zach, Holly, Amelia, Blake, and Ryan were staying with us.

Jon, Wendy, Jake, Jenny, Jim, Elaine, Jeanne, and Laurie were all at nearby hotels, and we all tried to spend as MUCH time together as we could. Thursday was our private rehearsal with Father Godwin at the church. After that, Andrew and Zach went to Costco to grab some stuff, while Holly, Sara, and I enjoyed getting pampered at T&L Spa in Richardson. That night was the bachelor/bachelorette party. We all went to Fox and Hound across the street from our apartment, and it was a LOT of fun!

Friday brought on lots of food prep (thanks to Sara, Zach, and Holly for all of your hard work that afternoon!) and lunch with the future in-laws at Chamberlain's Fish Market Grill. Then we did the rehearsal at the church, followed by the rehearsal dinner at Double Dave's in Frisco.

I spent the night at Sara's house, it was fun. Then EARLY Saturday morning I was up and we were going to get my hair done. We were at the church by 9:00 to start getting my makeup done and my dress on. Andrew and the guys were responsible for getting the food to the church and getting everything started.

Getting ready was so much fun! I love having someone else do my makeup, it was a gift from my fabulous cousin Chrissy that someone came from Nieman Marcus to do my makeup, and it definitely was part of the reason why I looked so good in my pictures!

The guys' pictures of getting ready were so much fun to look through, they clearly had a lot of fun!

I am just going to upload my favorite photos up until the reception, I just love ALL of my pictures. =)

We got to sign our marriage license and the church's marriage record book and then go outside to ring the bell. The bell rope was stuck, but we got some good pictures anyways.

Then came the reception. Honestly, the pictures are better than the actual memory of it. My DJ was AWFUL, he played less than a third of the music I asked for (and had the nerve to have my LIST IN HIS HANDS) and told me I was stupid for my raffle of our centerpieces. So stay away from Complete DJ Services, they STINK. Take it from me...don't go with a cheap DJ. It's like pictures: pay more, it's worth it to have a good atmosphere. But my FABULOUS photographer, Evan Godwin (purusweddings.com, check him out, he's a genius!) made it look like the reception was smooth sailing! ;)

I have to explain these next couple of pictures...my sister came over and asked, because no one was dancing yet, if I was WANTING people to be dancing. I said that yes, I did, but I couldn't make people dance. The very next song that came on was "(I've Had) The Time of My Life". Now, when my sister and I were kids, we would do the end routine to the movie Dirty Dancing, and so it's kinda like "our song", I guess. So it comes on, and my sister just stands up, walks out on the dance floor and proceeds to dance around by herself. Everyone LOVED IT, and I couldn't stop laughing. Apparently some people thought it was planned, but let me tell you: it was NOT planned. I remember leaning over to Andrew and going, "She loves me more than I love her. Because I love her, and I would NEVER do that for her!" It worked, though, it got everyone up and dancing. So...thank you, Andrea. I know I only have one sister so this next statement sounds obvious, but I think you're the best sister in the whole world. I love you so much!!!! =)

After we exited, we circled back around to get a few last shots in front of the bell tower.

We are loving married life, we are just such a happy couple. I married my best friend, and I just am the luckiest, happiest girl around! Thank you to all the Dudeks for your help, thank you Sara, thank you Robyn and Jordan (Jordan got lots of video for us, he's so wonderful!), THANK YOU ILENE AND FRANK KEHOE (your help was so much more appreciated than you know!), thank you to our wedding party (Sara, Andrea, Karla, Nikki, Holly, Zach, Jake, Jon, Ryan, Joel, and Jacob, Noah, Haley, and Paige), and thanks to everyone who came and celebrated this special, momentous, HAPPIEST DAY OF OUR LIVES with us. We love you all!
