He got neutered last Friday. Andrew dropped him off and picked him up ("I'm worried that he'll hold it against you, so I'll do it"...Andrew's so sweet!), and Dewey has been such a trooper! You wouldn't know the cat had anything done to him, he was jumping and playing that night.
The night before, Andrew got some snuggle time in with the little guy...
It didn't last long, though, he was "attacking" us in no time!
He recently jumped to the top mesh shelf, the pink one, and he was so proud of himself!!
We love to just sit around and watch him play while we watch TV. He jumps up to play with us every once in awhile, but is getting better and better at keeping himself amused. He's still a Daddy's Boy, though, and loves to play-bite Andrew!
He's not above biting Mommy, though...
...or the coasters...
...or the camera string!
Here is a little video of him playing with the camera string. Nothing super exciting, just him being precious!!
He crashed right after that video, though...so cute!!
Tuesday night, I took Sara to The Melting Pot to celebrate her FINALLY getting the job she's been temp-ing at for months! We had a really great time. Right before we left, Sara accidentally burned a hole in her napkin, which I thought was really funny! When the tables are that small (ours couldn't seat more than two people, it was a curved half-booth), there shouldn't be a candle on it! Haha!
Then Wednesday night, Andrew and I joined Sara in going to Robyn and Jordan's house for dinner. We got to meet her new puppy (I think it's spelled Kaia, pronounced "ki-ya", with a long "i" sound). Probably one of the cutest puppies I've ever seen!!!
We also got to watch Pouf run around, and take a little "dust bath" in her little playroom! Pouf is a chinchilla, and absolutely precious! Think of a bunny-mouse-squirrel, and you'll have a Pouf!!
We had so much fun hanging out, dinner was delicious, and it was great to meet your new edition to the family! We'll have to do it again soon!!
Andrew and I are doing alright, we're just getting ready for our trip. Oh, and Andrew's birthday. He's like, "I don't really ever make a big deal about my birthday...", but I'm not letting him get away with that. We're going to enjoy a whole birthday weekend, since his birthday is the first day back after Labor Day weekend. I'm working Saturday, but the rest of the weekend he gets to do whatever he wants! I'm sure that there will be some serious shopping involved on Sunday, hahaha!
Andrew gave blood again recently, and he now has a card on his keyring as a frequent donor, and an appointment to do it again in November. If I weren't completed terrified of (and nauseated by) needles, I'd give blood. But I've passed out before, I don't do well seeing blood.
So this will be one of the last posts before we leave town! I don't know that I'll get a chance to blog about his birthday, because next week is going to be a little hectic. But I'll try! If I don't, then you all will hear from us when we get back from Indiana! Take care!!
