Christmas Day

We went back over to my parents' house for Christmas Day. We all had a nice big lunch. My sister came over with Travis and the kids (she was still pregnant and felt fine), and my dad went to get Liz (his mother) so she could meet Andrew. I put the camera up when she got there so we could all visit, so I didn't get any pictures of that time. But Santa brought my two little brothers a huge trampoline, so I took some picture of the kids jumping on it.

Andrew got on the trampoline with Daniel and Connor to jump around, and went to flop on his stomach, and ended up smashing his nose down really hard. It bled a bit, and was really swollen. We got some ice on it and it was looking a little bit better when we left. It still looks red and a bit bruised now, and it's three days later...

The kids got to open presents, and they got exactly what they wanted: Thomas stuff for Jacob, and baby doll stuff for Paige. Robert got them cool cups with their names on them, too, which were really cute!

The elf hat was big hit that day, it's one of my mom's decorations. My dad put it on, too, but I wasn't able to get a picture, hahaha.

Paige got to love on my parents' cat, Max. He's such a good sport!

And here it is: the last pregnant picture of my sister!

After lunch and visiting, we drove over to Joel's parents' house to eat dinner and visit with his family. It was a lot of fun, and we got some AWESOME homemade food. I tried sweet potato pie for the first time, and LOVED IT!!! They sent us home with "to-go" boxes of food, everyone was so sweet!

Our first Christmas together was absolutely perfect, we both enjoyed every single second of it! I hope everyone had as wonderful a holiday as we did!!

Christmas Eve

We woke up on Thursday to snow!! I was watching it fall when we came downstairs, and I didn't think too much about it. I thought, "It was in the 70's yesterday, it won't stick, but at least it looks pretty right now!"

Well, as we were getting ready to head over to my parent's house, we saw that the snow had indeed stuck!

After driving an hour to my parents' house (which normally would've taken 20 minutes, but the roads were kinda bad), we were ready for some food and Christmas celebration! My older brother Josh was there with his daughter, my grandmother was there, and my mom made about a million different desserts (which were all so yummy!!). Robert was also in town, it's always great to see him! It was a great time!

Alexis's big present was a hamster. So cute!!

We had Mom take some pictures of us since we looked nice, haha! They came out pretty good!

The roads were even worse when we drove home, they were much icier. But we made it just fine. We were so happy to get to see family on Christmas, and were excited that it was a White Christmas for the first time in a LONG time in Texas (the news was saying it was the first time in about 80 years? Crazy!). It was a great kick-off to the holidays!
