Here is an update on the wedding stuff:
We set a date!!! We are getting married on November 20, 2010. It’s on a Saturday at 11:00am at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration. As many of you know, we had been initially eyeing this local vineyard for the wedding/reception. It was aesthetically perfect, but it unfortunately did not end up being something we could work with.
I was baptized and confirmed at Transfiguration, and I worked in the childcare wing there for nearly 10 years. It’s an absolutely beautiful church, and the reception hall is perfect for our needs!
I made an appointment to go look at dresses at Alfred Angelo in Frisco at the beginning of January. I have asked Sara, my maid of honor, and my good friend Mandi to tag along for much-needed help! J
I am very blessed to have a friend that makes FANTASTIC jewelry! I’m getting together with Michelle, an old coworker from my corporate days at Sewell, at the beginning of the new year to talk about what I want. I love that I’ll get to design my own jewelry and give my friend the business, rather than some over-priced retailer.
All of my bridesmaids have agreed on the dress I picked out as their dress! Which is a relief. Now all that’s left to do is find some cute, comfy shoes for them.

We bought all of the stuff we need to make our centerpieces, we caught a fall sale at Michael’s. I’m anxious to put them together and see how they look, but we’re waiting a little bit since we don’t really have the room to store 10 complete centerpieces.
We’re having fun talking about the little details: menu, songs, honeymoon ideas…nothing so far has been super stressful. We have picked out the cakes, they are going to be AWESOME! Andrew’s cake will be two layers, each one with a different flavor: chocolate cappuccino, and Kahlua mocha chocolate. My cake is three layers with three separate flavors: white chocolate liqueur, amaretto, and spice cake. The icing on mine will be pearlized (see picture) and have words of our choice written in normal icing all over the cake. It’s going to be very personalized, and VERY pretty!

We get to make the cake deposit before the end of the year, so that will be exciting! =)
Well that’s it for now, I will keep you all informed and up-to-date as we go along!
We got our wedding cake from Romanos, too and it was amazing! Beth was really great to work with, too!
