It’s been a long time since I have posted a blog update, I know, and I apologize. Things have been crazy. The day after Christmas, my sister gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, which I briefly posted about. They’ve been dealing with a lot in the weeks following, so we haven’t been over to visit NEARLY as much as we would have liked: I have no new pictures of the baby to post. But I will get around to that soon, promise!
We’ve been elbows deep in wedding planning, lately. We have several things that we’ve gotten taken care of. First and foremost, we have set up a wedding website, as most of you know. We put a lot of work into it and we definitely would love for you all to stop by and see it, and of course sign the guestbook! I’m still in the process of collecting pictures of everyone in the wedding party, but I have three of my five girls up there and all of the groomsmen are pictured. Make sure your speakers are on when checking it out, we’ve set it up to have a few songs that play for you!
We recently ordered “Save the Date” cards that should be getting mailed out soon, and we have our invitations that should be going out within the next several months. We found these great invitations at a hole-in-the-wall shop, and we both like them a lot: they’re simple and pretty.
We also ordered our wedding bands! It was fun getting to go pick them out. I was easy: I just wanted a plain band. I think my engagement ring is absolutely breathtaking and I didn’t want anything that would detract from it. I loved the ring that Andrew picked out as well, and we are both glad that we have been able to cross those things off of our extensive “To-Do” list.
We have been speaking with a travel agent about honeymoon destinations. The place we’re most interested in is an all-inclusive package at a Sandals resort in the Bahamas! The price (which includes both of our airfare) is really reasonable, and everything looks and sounds amazing about this place!
As we mentioned on our website, we are not registering at any stores. We have set up a honeymoon registry with my maid of honor. Her e-mail address is listed on our website under “Registry”. She is basically in charge of collecting monetary gifts towards our honeymoon, and will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding the honeymoon registry process.
I got to go dress shopping with a few of my girlfriends a couple of weeks ago. I have to say, for someone who doesn’t particularly like dresses: I LOVED TRYING ON GOWNS! Hahaha, it was so fun! I found one that I really loved, but I’m going to make one last trip with my mom to make the final decision. Once I do that, I am getting together with a good friend of mine who has a jewelry business to talk about designs for my wedding day jewelry, as well as the jewelry for my bridesmaids.
I have to say, this wedding planning has been pretty stress-free, all things considered. Andrew has been right there for every step, he’s helped make every decision with me. We looked at invitations together, he went with my maid of honor and me to get the stuff for our centerpieces…I am having so much fun doing all of this with him. Thanks for being the best sport ever, babe: I love you!!
I hope you all check out our wedding website! It’s:

In non-wedding related news, Andrew’s brother Zach is going to be a daddy this week!! He and Holly are expecting their first child any time now, with an appointment to induce labor on Thursday if Baby Amelia hasn’t made her entrance to the world, yet.
Zach and Holly: we are both SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited and happy for you!!! We are sad that we won’t be able to be there, but hopefully it won’t be too long until we get to meet Amelia! I know we’re both going to see her and be like, “AMELIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” Hahaha, that poor kid is going to be stuck with that joke her whole life. ;)
Good luck, we know you’ll both do great, and make sure you take lots of pictures of her so we can see how beautiful she is!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!
I've enjoyed keeping up with all of your wedding planning through Andrea! Haha please let me know if you have ANY questions! We've been through it all at this point : )It really is fun and it sounds like you are so on top of things!!
