Jake just recently got an iPhone, and the boys spent quite a bit of time comparing applications and basically rubbing in that they have iPhones and I don't, hahaha!
After they were done, we all went up to the mall to go to Gamestop. They bought a basketball game, which they immediately opened and played the second we got home. When they'd played for awhile, we all went shopping to get food for the weekend. We decided to do chicken fried steak, Yukon gold potatoes, and biscuits. We all ended up having a hand in getting everything ready, but Andrew did most of the work! He pounded out the steaks himself and everything!
When it came time to do the gravy, I got to mix it all up! I'll be a full-blown chef in no time! (just kidding)
We had a lot of fun doing it together, Andrew worked so hard and I wish I had felt comfortable enough to do more. But the little help I did offer was fun!
It looked so good when everything was done! The steaks got double-breaded, and Andrew added a little garlic seasoning to the potatoes this time...very yummy!!
Jake couldn't wait to go sit down and eat, he was starting to dig in while we were still in the kitchen.
Dinner was great, we all ate until we felt like we were going to explode!! The boys had to get one more game of basketball in right away, though, they really liked the game that they bought.
It's been a really fun day! Meeting Jake has been great! We might play the "Deal or No Deal" game we bought at Wal-Mart today later on. And tomorrow we're all supposed to go to the Taste of Addison before Jake heads to San Antonio for the week.
We're so glad to have you here to visit, Jake!!
