We got a kitty!!!!

He is SUPER adorable, don't have a name yet. We're still bouncing around ideas. Just wanted to get the pictures up of the car ride home and him exploring the apartment.

We are both totally hooked on him already, he's a little rascal!

It's tough, because this whole week we are dog/cat-sitting for our friend Sara, and we didn't plan on getting the kitten this weekend...so we're going to have to make sure we get over there to get Tobi (the beagle) some non-kennel time. She's a crazy dog, but it's fun hanging out with her!

Also, while I'm blogging, we got a new piece of artwork for above the bar in the dining room, and Andrew surprised me by getting us new trendy stools to sit on at the bar.

Alrighty! I'm off to play with our new baby before we go spend the evening taking care of Boots and Tobi at Sara's. I'll post again soon with his name (when we decide on one) and how we found this little guy!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

Our first house guest!!

Saturday night, we had my younger brother Daniel over to spend the night. We were so excited!! We got up and got the last bit of stuff upstairs cleared out and organized, and then we went to the store to make sure we had some choices for dinner.

We ate dinner first thing when we picked him up that evening. Andrew grilled out hamburgers, hot dogs, and corn.

I made a big pot of mac and cheese (Kraft, of course!) for Daniel and me. Andrew's not a fan of the fake stuff, so we enjoyed it ourselves!

Dinner was so good, and we all enjoyed hanging out!

After dinner we watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. We were going Sunday to see the newest Harry Potter movie, and I wanted Andrew to have a LITTLE bit of background since he's never really seen these movies. Once we finished the movie, we stayed up until after 2am playing a video game we rented. Well, the boys played, I sat there and watched them.

We all slept in Sunday. After a breakfast of Dunkin' Donuts, the boys slipped in some more video game time!

Then we headed off to see the new Harry Potter movie. It was very good, we all enjoyed it!!

I finally took some pictures of the finished guest room, Andrew did such a great job setting it up!

My sister let us borrow the picture above the guest bed since her and Travis aren't using it. They also loaned us one for our dining room.

We had a great weekend with Daniel, and we hope to have him over again soon! Maybe we can convince my other little brother, Connor, to put the video games down long enough to come spend some time with us, too! Haha!

Hope everyone has a great week!!

Gotta love Sundays

Today was really good, we had a very full day. It started off with Andrew cooking me breakfast with some of the leftover chipotle turkey we had, and making some scrambled eggs and cheese to go along with it. So yummy!!!!

We had a really great day hanging out with our friend Sara.

Afterwards we went to hang out with my sister and her kids. Jacob and Paige's cousins, Zach and Abby, are in town. Abby has a cold and was in her room watching TV, so we only got to visit with Zach.

Then it was time for a trip to the store. Andrew grilled out some REALLY good chicken tonight, and so he needed some veggies. We also got some floor lamps because the living room was in DESPERATE need of some more light!! We were trying to do a Webcam chat with his family the other night and there wasn't much light on our end.

Dinner was so good, Target had corn on the cob (in the husks) on sale: 10 for $1. So we bought a bunch and he grilled them out with the chicken.

The veggies he sauteed were green bell peppers and zucchini.

And believe it or not, folks...I ATE THEM. Didn't love them, but I didn't hate them. And for me not to HATE a vegetable is a beautiful thing!

Andrew did such a great job. Thanks, babe, it was so yummy!!!

Then Andrew set up the lamps we got. It made a HUGE difference in the room, we were VERY happy with how it all looked!

The pictures with all the lamps turned on came out looking weird, so I didn't post any. So you all will just have to wait and see them in person!

Tomorrow is Monday, back to work! Hope your weekend was as wonderful as ours was!
