And he totally surprised me! After all of the comments about how he hadn't even started saving up for the ring, I figured me getting proposed to in Indiana was NOT going to happen.
I was wrong! =)
We went on a carriage ride Saturday night after a really nice dinner at St. Elmo's, a steakhouse in downtown Indy.
We stopped at one point to get out and look at this really pretty spot, and he turns me around to face him and tells me how much he loves me, and that he wants to spend the rest of his life with me.....
Down on one knee, tears in his eyes...it was absolutely perfect. The most wonderful moment of my life to date. I said yes, of course. After I apparently asked him if "this was really happening" (dont't remember that, it was all such a shock)! ;)
Here are the pictures from the proposal, our wonderful carriage ride lady took the pictures for us.

And here are the pictures of the ring!!! I will not blog the rest of my time here, most likely, so all of the other pictures will come when we get back!

So there you have it! He picked a perfect ring, did the perfect proposal, and we couldn't be happier! Love you all, can't wait to see all of you when we get back!
Yay!!! Congratulations...The best blessings in life start with engagement in my opinion. We are so hapy for you both and think it is wonderful that it was all a surprise. Love you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Getting engaged is a big, life-changing deal. Along those lines, I invite you to check out this video -- ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/197 -- about one couple’s similar “aha moment.” Hope you like it and that you’ll also check out the rest of the site, created by Mutual of Omaha to highlight inspirational stories, good works, and “aha moments” of all kinds.
