Well I wish we'd taken more pictures of our weekend, but we didn't. I had to work yesterday, from 7am-5pm, and Andrew was left to his own devices all day. First he checked out a "garage sale" the city of Addison was putting on, but apparently it was junk. So he made up for it at the Dillard's Outlet store.
Seriously...the man knows how to find a bargain!! He spent $41, and he got five (yes, I said FIVE) dress shirts. He was so excited, and apparently removed himself from the store before he bought more, haha!
Then he went to the grocery store to get stuff to make dinner (he also bought me my favorite kind of Pop Tarts, unfrosted strawberry...what a sweetheart!!). When I got here, he had chicken-fried steak going, my FAVORITE Yukon gold potatoes (just chopped up, cooked on a cookie sheet with olive oil and seasoned with salt and pepper), and biscuits. He also whipped up some country gravy to go over everything...mmm, mmm, mmm!!! The dinner was SO GOOD!!!
So much so, in fact, that we reheated the leftovers this morning (and added some cheesy scrambled eggs) and did brunch. So yummy...you all should be VERY jealous!
He also bought a box of Rice Krispies and some marshmallows, and made homemade Rice Krispies treats last night, although we were too full to cut into them. I think I'm going to go have one after this, though, because that sounds yummy.....
We decided that we are going to cook it again this coming weekend. I got off of work the next two Saturdays because Andrew's brother, Jacob, will be in town. I have two of the brothers left to meet: Jake and Zach. So I'm VERY excited to meet Jake. His wife, Jenny, will be here the weekend after this one and we're both very excited about their visit!!
We're going to go through and de-clutter his computer room today, and watch the most recent Chronicles of Narnia (we watched the first one last night). He's sitting here getting ready to play Madden with his brother Jake (it's cool how they can play each other in different states).
Well that's about it for this weekend!! We've got our 4-month anniversary tomorrow night, so I'll blog in a day or two. I've got to make sure we both keep our cameras out and ready to take lots of pictures for the blog!!
Your off to a good start. :)
