Our Busy Weekend

We had an absolutely fabulous weekend!! Full of lots of fun stuff, took a TON of pictures. Saturday we started off going to my niece's 6th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. Andrew had never been to a Chuck E. Cheese, so this was his first experience! We got there a little late, so everyone was finishing up their pizza, waiting for Chuck E. Cheese himself to come out for the two birthday celebrations going on.

Here's Alexis, the birthday girl!
My 11-year old brother, Connor, is on the right and his best friend Nolan is on the left.

My 13-year old brother, Daniel

Everyone got very excited when it was "Showtime", it was cute!

When Chuck E. Cheese came out, the birthday "stars" got to do a little dance with him, and then he visited each table to watch the birthday kid blow out candles. Alexis was so excited!

Then it was time for cupcakes, which my mom had made. They were yummy, and when my brother opened the jar of cherries to go on top, they were a big hit!

This is Jane, my brother's oldest daughter, and Alexis.

Present time was fun, Alexis got lots of neat, girly things. She got a few High School Musical gifts, which made her VERY happy!

Out on the game floor, everyone had a blast! Andrew played basketball and skiball right away.

I gave it a shot, but I wasn't any good.

There was this one game that was popular, you had to stop a light running along a series of light bulbs on ONE specific bulb to win the "Jackpot" (it was like 60-something tickets). Everyone gave it a shot.

Andrew, Alexis, and Jane each hit the Jackpot, but Jane hit it EIGHT times!

I played my favorite Wheel of Fortune Game, and was the only one in our party to light up the one bulb that spins the big wheel to see how many tickets you win (it's very much like the game that the others were addicted to). I got the second highest amount of tickets you could win on the wheel.

Then it was time to cash in tickets to pick out the prizes.

Alexis had a great party, everyone had a lot of fun! Here she is with her Daddy, and her sister!

After the party, we stopped by two different Petsmart stores to look at kittens for adoption. We're not getting a kitty until AFTER we move in, but we wanted to look around. It was so great to hold and snuggle the little babies, we both are very excited to get a baby (or two!) when we move in. Andrew even came around to a little black and white kitten named Baxter, who couldn't have been more than 5 or 6 weeks old. So irresistible, but no pictures, sorry! Afterwards, we decided to stop by and visit with Andrea and Travis for awhile and play with Jacob and Paige. The kids were crawling all over my sister on the couch while we all sat around chatting.

Paige got ahold of Andrew's iPhone and pointed out "GiGi" and "Ann-ee" on the screen (his background picture of us). She tried to take off and play with it, but brought it right back.

Jacob kept insisting that it was time to "go bye-bye POOL", so the kids, Andrea, and Travis all changed into swimsuits (we had none with us, so we tagged along to watch and take pictures). Paige's little swimsuit was so cute!

"Does this swimsuit make my butt look big??"

Paige was so excited, she ran and got her pink Crocs for me to put on her.

And she stole the iPhone one more time..."Ann-ee" is going to have her as obsessed as him in no time, hahaha!

Loaded up and ready to go in the stroller, my sister tried to put a little summer hat on Paige. You can see how well THAT went...

Jacob didn't seem to mind his, however.

Once at the pool, it was funny to watch how different Jacob and Paige are. Paige would NOT get off of the top step (there's a video of her saying "NO!" to everything Andrea asks her below), but seemed perfectly content to stay there for awhile.

Jacob loved jumping off the side to Mommy and Daddy, and being tossed back and forth between them. He was absolutely FEARLESS in the water, he didn't even freak out when he'd slip under for a second or two after stepping off the bottom step.

After awhile of playing in the pool, it was time to reapply the sunscreen. Jacob thought it was time to go home and started sobbing.

Paige enjoyed the break from the pool to reapply, she spent time lounging on the chair, swinging her legs around in the air and being silly.

Andrew went over to visit with her, and it was so cute!!

Then she wanted to go back to the pool, so Andrew watched her on the step.

Paige did venture off of the top step, when Andrew put her on the second step. She didn't seem to mind that too much.

But once she got in the float, she was fine letting go of the step and had a great time.

We moved to the shallow kiddie pool briefly before leaving.

Paige had really warmed up to Andrew by the time we left the pool, and gave him a big hug when we went to go get Wendy's spicy chicken sandwich and a chocolate Frostie for Andrea (pregnancy craving).

Once we got back to my sister's house, Travis and Andrew went to go pick up the stuff to make steak, potatoes, and crab cakes. The kids just chilled and relaxed.

The men did all of the work in the kitchen once they got back, and dinner was so good!!

While the guys cooked, Andrea gave the kids a bath. Paige has this little Dora the Explorer doll that she was hugging and kissing. It was so cute!!

After her bath, she was being really affectionate and let me and "Ann-ee" both hold her (she's usually SUCH a "Momma's Girl"). She actually followed me around until I picked her up.

We all sat down to watch Finding Nemo, and the kids eventually went to bed. Andrew and I said goodnight and headed to Chili's to have a drink with our friend, Eric. It was good to see him, we hadn't hung out in awhile! We had a blast hanging out with Andrea, Travis, Jacob and Paige at the pool! We'll definitely be going to swim with them this summer!
