The next course was a salad, we all opted for the house salad.
Then came mine and Sara's favorite part: the meat course! The Melting Pot is running a Mid-Summer Night special, where you get the cheese, salad, meat, and chocolate fondue courses for two, for just $59 (plus tax and gratuity). We got to pick our cheeses, salads, and chocolates, but the meat course had to be something specific. It was a plate of shrimp, filet mignon, teriyaki sirloin, and chicken. It comes with veggies (broccoli, potatoes, and mushrooms) and about 5 or 6 different kinds of sauces to use after you cook your meat. This course is SO GOOD!!!
Andrew and I tried to get some good shots of us in, but he was being a goober and I kept looking at him with a look, haha.
We got a few good ones finally, though!
The chocolate course was last, and it was awesome! One pot had their S'mores fondue in it, while the one by Sara and I (since we were the only ones who wanted it) had their bananas foster fondue. Both were flambéed at the table. We got plates that had cheesecake, brownies, pound cake, marshmallows, bananas, strawberries, Rice Krispies treats, and graham crackers to dip in the fondues.
We all were so full when we left, but Beth had a great time and said she understood why we raved about that place so much! It was great seeing her, and I can't wait to spend more time with her on her trip to Dallas! Her boyfriend will be home from Iraq here soon for a little bit, and I'm looking forward to meeting him!
I love hanging out with my girls!! Thanks for coming out with us last night, Sara and Beth!!
That sounds like a super fun place to go for a date! Do you have to get the meat course, or can you just go for cheese and dessert? I could never finish that much meat on my own. lol
ReplyDeleteDude, it was so much fun! I'm going to have to take your flambe pics for my blog, mine didn't come out nearly as well. Must have been my camera, right Andrew? =P
